It’s a nice feeling to see your former school (Burford School, Oxon) celebrate the publication of your book.
Pictured from The Old Burfordians Alumni Facebook page are Burford School students Jessie and Finn, who are checking out my book from the school library. Apparently, they “are excited to hear that it had been written by a former Burford pupil”. I attended Burford between 1982 and 1989 and was recently asked by Bill Williams, my former PE teacher, to donate copies.
Honestly, I am as excited as they are to see it available. My history teachers at the school played a critical role both in my interest in writing (history essays) and my enjoyment of history in general.
